I never knew Bill as “Bill”. He was always “Maria and Bill” for me. While he and Maria had one of the World Class love affairs it was because Maria took Bill around the world and Bill made the adventures better. Even after his cancer treatments, which slowed him down a little, he was still the “Strong Back” and “Captain” of their ship.
This is my tribute to my friend who was two days younger than me. These photos represent the Bill Chapman I knew. A great friend and an inspiration. Every photo of him projects his thousand watt smile. That is the Bill I will remember. Especially in every photo with his two loves… Maria and Peregrine. We who remain behind will remember and miss him.
